Italian League News: Juventus coach, Luciano Spalletti, claims that he already knows enough about the abilities of Nico Gonzalez, who was successful in being the difference in the match against Parma.
After beating Frosinone with a score of 1-0 through Gleison Bremer’s header, the Bianconeri hosted Parma for the second week of Serie A on Sunday (30/8) early morning WIB.
The duel at the Allianz Stadium, Turin was tough in the first half. However, the introduction of Nico Gonzalez from the bench changed Juventus’ game.
The Argentinian winger opened the scoring in the 62nd minute with a deflected shot. Coach Luciano Spalletti also brought on Teun Koopmeiners from the bench, who scored the second goal in the 88th minute and sealed the win with a score of 2-0.
Juve had difficulty breaking down the Gialloblu defense, due to the absence of Kenan Yildiz and Weston McKennie.
However, Spalletti’s decision to include Gonzalez was the difference, and the 67-year-old coach admitted that he already knew that the Argentine striker could be the difference.
“I feel like I know him quite well. We played seriously because Parma played defensively and we tried to surround them and create space to shoot at goal, and there was a risk of getting nervous, but we weren’t nervous and kept playing,” Spalletti told Sky Sport Italia.
“Then Nico did his part, but we had so many crosses and one was enough. We need to be more organized and more focused in looking for the moments that decide the game.”
