Transfer News: Juventus coach, Luciano Spalletti, indicated that Nico Gonzalez will stay after scoring a goal in the 2-0 win over Parma.
After beating Frosinone with a score of 1-0 through Gleison Bremer’s header, the Bianconeri hosted Parma for the second week of Serie A on Sunday (30/8) early morning WIB.
The duel at the Allianz Stadium, Turin was tough in the first half. However, the introduction of Nico Gonzalez from the bench changed Juventus’ game.
The Argentinian winger opened the scoring in the 62nd minute with a deflected shot. Coach Luciano Spalletti also brought on Teun Koopmeiners from the bench, who scored the second goal in the 88th minute and sealed the win with a score of 2-0.
Gonzalez played his first official match with Juve for the first time since last season. He was loaned to Atletico Madrid last season.
Los Rojiblancos had intended to re-sign him, but no agreement was reached with Juve while Spalletti wanted him to stay.
Now, with the injury to Kenan Yildiz, who is expected to be sidelined for months, Gonzalez could get more playing minutes.
The 67-year-old tactician also indicated that the Argentina national team player would stay in his statement after the match.
“Nico performed very well, with the toughness of a champion and a typical Argentinian personality, because Argentines have those qualities. We are happy he remains with us,” said Spalletti about Gonzalez, as reported by Sky Sport Italia.
