Transfer News: Barcelona is approaching the end of the summer transfer window with several player release processes still to be completed, but there is also the potential for the arrival of new players.
Most importantly for Barça, the financial picture from these sales looks to be one of the most solid during Joan Laporta’s second term as president.
According to SPORT, Barcelona could potentially reap around €120 million this summer through direct sales, if they manage to complete the entire player release process in the coming days.
The biggest deal was Ferran Torres’ move to PSG for around €48.5 million, which accounts for a large portion of Barcelona’s direct transfer earnings.
La Masia also plays an important role. Ansu Fati and Tommy Marques each brought in around €11 million, Inaki Pena contributed €3 million, while Dani Rodriguez and Andres Cuenca also brought in smaller amounts.
Other transfer activity is expected. Hector Fort has earned around €8.5 million from his move to Real Sociedad.
Alvaro Cortes could bring in around €3 million, while Toni Fernandez’s move to Venice is expected to bring in around €4 million.
If Marc Casado is also sold for a price close to Barça’s €20 million, the total revenue from the direct sale would increase to around €110 million.
This will make the sales period the most productive since Laporta’s return in 2021.
The important role of this academy is very striking. More than half of the total income can be attributed directly or indirectly to the players forged at Barcelona.
The figure includes not only current player sales, but also funds earned from previous decisions. Barça is set to receive around €4.8 million from Jan Virgili’s move to Club Brugge from Mallorca.
