IBL Basketball News: RANS Simba Bogor management appoints Ramiro Diaz as coach. The coach explained his targets with RANS.
After two seasons as assistant coach at Dewa United Banten, the Argentine coach will take on his first head coaching role at the IBL.
“This is a very important opportunity because after two seasons as an assistant, I will have the opportunity to lead a team as head coach. RANS Simba have just reached the quarter-finals and intend to challenge for the title, so we have a big challenge in front of us,” said Ramiro, to the Argentine media some time ago.
With such knowledge of the local basketball scene, one of the main goals of this new stage is to achieve rapid integration between foreign players and Indonesian talent.
“The main goal is to be competitive, by combining the hard work of foreign and local players. This league is short, so preparation will be key. We have to be in top form at the start of the competition and immediately build a team identity,” he added.
Apart from the purely sporting aspect, the new RANS Simba coach will face the challenge of building strong relationships with the people of Bogor and their fans.
“We also want to build a strong presence at home, so that the club’s fans feel connected to the team and support us throughout the season. The idea is to build a team that is competitive on the pitch and, at the same time, establishes a very strong bond with the fans,” concluded Ramiro Diaz Cuello.
