IBL Basketball News: After introducing coach Ramiro Diaz, RANS Simba Bogor started to move to recruit players. Most recently, management decided to extend Daniel Salamena’s contract.
This time, RANS gave a two-year long-term contract to Daniel William Tunasey Salamena. This is a contract extension for Daniel after the last three seasons with the club.
Daniel Salamena is an important part of the RANS rotation. Although his performance still fluctuates, depending on the tasks the coach gives him. But in fact, RANS changes coaches too often. So Daniel’s performance itself is not yet clear.
Daniel played with RANS in 70 regular season matches from 2024 to 2026. Meanwhile for the Playoffs, he played 10 Playoffs matches, including in the Semifinals in the 2025 season. In the 2025 season, Daniel was able to contribute 8.8 points per game in the Playoffs, which was his highest average in five matches.
Meanwhile, his role in the 2026 season is also not good. His minutes dropped to 15.6 minutes per game in the regular season while averaging 4.8 points per game. Meanwhile in the Playoffs, Daniel only played 6.5 minutes per game.
RANS now has a new coach, namely Ramiro Diaz Cuello, who has been involved in the IBL for two seasons with the Dewa United Banten club. Of course he also observed how Daniel Salamena performed at RANS. It is hoped that a long-term contract and the presence of a new coach will make Daniel more enthusiastic and able to bring out his best abilities.
