Marc Casado Officially Loaned by Barcelona to Sociedad

Ligaolahraga.com –

Spanish League News: It’s official: Marc Casado leaves Barça and joins Deportivo de la Coruña on loan.

LaLiga has announced the player’s registration as a Deportivo player, pending official statements from both clubs. The agreement between the clubs includes a non-obligatory purchase clause worth 30 million next summer.

This agreement was reached on the last day of the transfer window, and Marc Casado chose to join the Galician club, although he also received offers from other clubs such as Bayer Leverkusen and clubs from Saudi Arabia.

The presence of Carles Martínez at the German club was a special attraction for the midfielder, but in the end the existing requirements could not be met. Thus, Casadó ended his ten-year spell as a *Blaugrana* player, having joined the club’s youth team at the age of 13 in the summer of 2016.

Now, at the age of 23, he is leaving the club that means so much to his life after having experienced playing in the first team for more than three seasons. He made his debut under Xavi on 1 November 2022 in a Champions League match against Viktoria Plzen.

Of course, his best moments with the first team came under Hansi Flick in the first half of the 2024/2025 season; At that time, he controlled the midfield and put on brilliant performances—such as in the *El Clásico* match at the Bernabéu in the first round which ended with a score of 0-4, where he recorded an extraordinary assist for Lewandowski’s opening goal.

He left the club after playing 75 official matches and scoring one goal—which occurred in the same season as the *Clásico* match—against Real Sociedad.
