IBL Basketball News: RANS Simba Bogor Management is making a breakthrough again. This time, RANS added strength by recruiting Victory Lobbu from Pelita Jaya Jakarta.
At the end of the 2026 season, former RANS Simba Bogor coach, Antonius Joko Endratmo, said that his team needed a point guard. After evaluation, RANS decided to take Victory Lobbu which was released by Pelita Jaya Basketball Jakarta. RANS announced this happy news to fans via its Instagram account on Monday night (31/8).
Lobbu had a shining career in the previous three seasons, namely with Bima Perkasa Jogja (2023), and Prawira Bandung (2024 and 2025). Even during the 2023 season, Lobbu is a candidate for Rookie of the Year with an average of 4.0 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game in 30 matches.
After moving from Bima Perkaa, Lobbu played for Prawira Bandung for two seasons. In the 2024 season, his role will not only be 7.7 minutes per game, but he will play 24 times in the regular season and three times in the Playoffs.
Then in the second season with Prawira, Lobbu got more opportunities. He played in 23 regular season games and averaged 4.0 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. Then in the Playoffs, Lobbu also played three matches.
Lobbu himself only played 14 matches in the 2026 IBL regular season, with an average of 2.2 points per game. Then in three Playoffs games, he was also sent down. Now Lobbu will be RANS’ mainstay as point guard. The task will certainly be tougher in a team that now has a new captain, namely Ramiro Diaz Cuello.
