Volleyball News – The Indonesian men’s national volleyball team must recognize Cambodia’s superiority after meeting in a fierce final match at Candon City Arena, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, Sunday (19/7/2026). With the end of the top match, the entire series of SEA V. League 2026 Men’s Leg 1 competitions also ended.
Cambodia managed to make history by winning the title for the first time in this prestigious tournament. Even though they were not favored from the start, Suon Channaro’s squad performed fiercely, proving that they deserved to lift the championship trophy.
Meanwhile, the Indonesian national team, which performed impressively throughout the tournament without losing a single set on the way to the final, had to settle for being in second place. Garuda’s struggle in the final round was not enough to overcome Cambodia’s attacks.
The final results of Round I of the 2026 SEA V. League placed Thailand in third place, while Vietnam was in fourth place. This tournament is not only a showcase for volleyball players in Southeast Asia, but also proves that Cambodia must now be taken into account in every crucial match.
