Volleyball News: The Indonesian National Volleyball Team won the AVC Men’s Volleyball Cup for the first time. The General Chairperson of the Central Management of the Indonesian Volleyball Association (PP PBVSI) Imma Sudjarwo appreciated and gave a total bonus of IDR 900 million.
The Indonesian men’s national volleyball team made history by winning the 2026 AVC Men’s Cup after beating South Korea with a landslide score of 3-0 (34-32, 25-16, 25-23)
“PP PBVSI gives bonuses to athletes and coaches, each of whom receives IDR 50 million. If later there are additional bonuses from other parties, of course we will be very grateful,” said Imam in an official statement, Monday.
The Garuda team won the AVC Men’s Volleyball Cup for the first time after beating South Korea 34-32, 25-16, 25-23 in the final of the 2006 edition at the Veer Savarkar Sports Complex, Amdavad, Sunday night WIB.
“This is an extraordinary achievement. This team is truly extraordinary. During my time as General Chair of PBVSI for three terms, this was the team with the best cohesiveness and chemistry that I have ever had,” said Imam.
He was proud that the Indonesian men’s national volleyball team had won the tournament after beating tough countries like South Korea.
“At this time I cannot provide further information. What is clear is that I hope this bonus can provide benefits for all athletes,” said Imam.
This proud achievement by Merah Putih is a positive signal for the development of volleyball in Indonesia. The team coached by Reidel Alfonso Toiran has now become an important force on the Asian volleyball map.
