Premier League News: Bazoumana Toure is predicted to have a big impact quickly with Newcastle United after being brought in for a transfer fee of 47 million euros from TSG Hoffenheim.
Former striker Arouna Kone believes the 20-year-old will be a big success at St James Park. Speaking to media 225 Foot, Kone praised the mentality and tactical maturity of the Ivorian winger at such a young age.
Kone believes that the most impressive thing about Toure since making his debut is his lack of awkwardness when controlling the ball. The young winger does not hesitate to get past opposing players with his explosive steps and remains calm in the opponent’s dangerous areas, as he showed when he scored a goal in the Carabao Cup against West Bromwich Albion.
Apart from mental factors, Kone believes that Newcastle United’s style of play under the direction of new coach Matthias Jaissle is ideal for Bazoumana Toure. The system implemented by the German coach is considered to facilitate Toure’s advantages in making fast acceleration.
“This is a scheme designed specifically for Bazoumana,” Kone said as reported by Sport Witness. “He has the rare ability to accelerate with the ball at his feet. If he maintains this consistent work rate and is unselfish up front, he will quickly become an irreplaceable part of the attack.”
The young winger’s rapid development in the Premier League competition has also brought fresh air to the Ivory Coast national team. It is believed that the high-level tactical experience that Toure has gained in England will have a direct positive impact on the squad nicknamed The Elephants.
“Seeing a 20-year-old player make a move and bring Newcastle fans to their feet is very good news for The Elephants,” continued Arouna Kone.
“The national team needs a dynamic winger capable of making a difference at any time with a burst of pace. Bazoumana gained high-level tactical experience in England, and this will directly benefit Ivorian football.”
