Volleyball News – The Indonesian Women’s National Volleyball Team put on a stunning performance in their initial match at the 2026 AVC Women’s Volleyball Continental Championship against Kazakhstan. With a solid and enthusiastic game, the Indonesian players managed to show a steely mentality, including when Arsela Nuari Purnama, player number 9, stood out as the star of the field with a score of 19 points.
Aggressive play and solid defense are the keys to the team’s success. Arsela scored the most points through 16 sharp attacks, 1 block and 2 deadly serves (aces). Together with Ersandrina Devega and Gendis Azzahra, they mercilessly attacked Kazakhstan’s defenses. As a result, a landslide 3-0 victory was achieved (25-22, 25-22, 25-23) at the Tianjin Olympic Center Gymnasium, China on Saturday (22/8/2026) WIB.
Another good news comes from the world rankings. After this victory, the Indonesian Women’s National Volleyball Team jumped to 49th position in the FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Ranking after adding 12.55 points, making a total of 77.96 points. Previously, Indonesia was ranked 56th with 65.41 points. This is clearly a big achievement to be proud of and brings Indonesia closer to the ranks of the world’s volleyball elite.
