She managed to reach the second round on her Grand Slam debut, thanks to an unforgettable 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 victory over Mexican tennis player Renata Zarazua. The match lasted 3 hours 27 minutes and was recorded as the eighth longest match in the WTA tournament this season.
In the second round, Rakhimova also performed impressively when she crushed Spanish tennis player Oksana Selekhmeteva 6-3, 6-0.
The winner of the match has the opportunity to meet the 15th seed, Diana Shnaider or the host player, Taylor Townsend in the fourth round.
